Apartment Building Reroof in Sacramento – 10,000 sq ft Commercial Project
Project Overview
This 10,000 sq. ft. commercial reroof project involved a complete reconstruction of the existing roof system for a multi-unit apartment building. Our team removed all deteriorated materials, installed new plywood sheathing, and rebuilt the deck to create the proper slope for optimal drainage toward the eaves. Correcting the pitch was essential to eliminating ponding water and preventing future leaks.
With the new deck in place, we installed a high-performance, 3-layer MuleHide TPO roofing system. The assembly included an ISO board insulation barrier for energy efficiency, a fire-rated cover board for enhanced protection, and a durable 60-mil TPO membrane that was expertly heat-welded to form a seamless, watertight surface built to last.

What is TPO Roofing?
TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) is one of the most widely used commercial roofing materials due to its strength, performance, and energy-saving capabilities. It features a bright, reflective surface that helps reduce heat absorption and lower cooling costs—especially important for large buildings in warm climates.
TPO is engineered to resist UV degradation, chemical exposure, punctures, and tears. Because its seams are heat-welded, they form exceptionally strong bonds that outperform traditional glued seams, providing superior leak protection. When paired with proper insulation, a TPO system delivers long-lasting durability, low maintenance requirements, and improved building efficiency.
